MICHEAL VAYNMAN

“I create sculpture that explores classical sculptural forms and traditional themes. The main intention of my art is to bring quiet to the mind and involve the person in the aesthetic experience. The vehicle I use for this is the classic human form explored and executed in a contemporary style”

Born in St Petersburg Russia , 1974. He was taken to Australia by his family, who were fleeing the totalitarian regime in Russia at that time.

Michael Vaynman has participated in exhibitions since the age of 10, and worked in numerous mediums such as clay, plaster and synthetic resins, steel and bronze.

Michael has also had extensive experience in mould-making, bronze casting and patination. He produces all his own bronzes, overseeing each process from start to finish.
